That is backing deterioration caused by moisture reaching the edge of the mirror. It is common in bathrooms with limited ventilation. Once it starts, it spreads. Replacement with a properly mounted and edge-sealed panel is the right fix.
In some locations, yes. California building codes require safety glazing near walking surfaces and in areas where impact risk is elevated. We check those requirements during the site visit and specify the correct glass for each location.
Yes. Full mirror walls require careful seam placement and secure mounting so panels sit tight and stable. Vibration from exercise equipment can cause movement at seams over time if the mounting is not done correctly. We evaluate the wall and floor conditions before recommending a layout.
Apply cleaner to a cloth first, then wipe the glass. Spraying directly onto the mirror lets liquid run to the edges and seep behind the panel. That moisture is what attacks the backing over time. A soft cloth and a gentle glass cleaner applied carefully is all you need.
